News:
Now there have been a new server link to BorkNet
The server has the name houston.tx.us.borknet.org and this server can take up to 1000 users.
The staff for this server are: Webbax and the sponsoring company is Webbaccess.
Greetings Webbax!
As you may have noticed, we have linked with Lt3Nerds. We have gained some more staff, and hope to grow and improve in the future. We are always looking for more servers, so why not apply? We are running SnIRCd on linux. The new staff includes: Beau - DimeCadmium - RavenZero. They will be at their best to serve you and help you!
To reduce lag we suggest you use the round robin for your area:
irc.eu.borknet.org for Europe
irc.us.borknet.org for America
This should reduce user lag significantly!
BorkNet Services Milestone 2.0 is getting closer. Alot of the recoding is done, including most of the major changes to the core. There is still quite alot to be done, but it is progressing nicely! No svn commits will be made untill 2.0 is finished though, so be patient!
Bob is back!
Work is going a bit slower, I have quite a bit of real work and uni work that needs to be done, not to mention exams. GTA4 comming out is also demanding it's toll.

Quakenet has recently updated their IRCD to snircd, more can be read here.
As for BorkNet, this means we will be upgrading aswell, including our services. Since I still don't have to much free time on my hands, this process will be rather slow, and will be paired with what could be called a 'public' beta. The in development services will be running on the live network. I appoligise in advance for the inconvinience this will cause, but it is all for the greater good!
I will try to make this go as smooth as possible.
Edit1 (02/03/2008): We are now running snircd.
Edit2 (02/03/2008): I will also try and make some time to update all the faqs, since we have several new services available to users that arn't documented.
Edit3 (21/03/2008): Services seem to be running smooth on snircd, the 'beta' state is now revoked (without actual changes woo!). And as to stay on par with Quakenet (and it's release of the very shiny Q9!) some extra modes and functions will be added to Q, combined with a massive services upgrade.
Edit4 (22/03/2008): L has now retired from the network as it is no longer in development.

Due to a mixup with our DNS transfer, we have been down for almost a month.
The problems should be resolved now, and we hope it didn't cause to much hassle.
